Captain Marvel Brie Larson joins the Fast & Furious family as Vin Diesel confirms that the star actress is part of Fast & Furious 10's cast.

In an Instagram post, series producer and lead star Vin Diesel confirmed that Brie Larson is now part of the Fast & Furious family.

“You see this angel over my shoulder cracking me up,” writes Diesel, showing off a picture with Larson with both of them laughing. “You say to yourself “that's Captain Marvel.” Clearly, there is love and laughter in this image. What you don't see, however, is the character you will be introduced to in Fast10. You have no idea how timeless and amazing she will be in our mythology. Beyond her beauty, her intellect… her Oscar… is this profound soul who will add something you might not have expected but yearned for. Welcome to the FAMILY Brie.”

Of course, adding an Oscar awards winner to the family will definitely up the star power of the series, but it's not like the Fast & Furious crew is a stranger to Oscar-worthy people. Indeed, F9 itself had Charlize Theron and Helen Mirren in their ranks. On top of that, popular star Jason Momoa will also be starring in Fast10, starring as the game's villain. The new stars almost make up for the departure of long-time mainstay Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson who left the series before filming of Fast9 started.

Fast10 is set to be released in theaters on May 19, 2023.
