The Sean Payton-led Denver Broncos' showdown against the Green Bay Packers was a handful for officials. Roger Goodell and the rest of the NFL had initially given Kareem Jackson a four-game suspension after hitting Luke Musgrave. But, all of that seems to have changed. It all started when an appeal was submitted for the referees to re-evaluate their initial decision.

Kareem Jackson's time away from the Broncos will be shortened. This is because the NFL and its officials led by Roger Goodell have decided on a new ruling. Instead, he will only face a two-game suspension, per Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network.

The hit happened when Jackson nearly snapped Luke Musgrave's neck. The Packers' weapon got the dart from Jordan Love. But, as he was falling back, Jackson delivered a hit on him which did not look good for the Broncos defender when it was put on replay.

This was not the first time that Sean Payton and the Broncos had to deal with Jackson's rough style of play. He also caused the concussion on Washington Commanders' Logan Thomas. Jakobi Meyers and the Las Vegas Raiders also faced the same problem when going against him. Both instances just necessitated a fine, but the NFL did not let it slide this time.

If he were to repeat this harsh playing style again, the league could be giving him a harsher punishment moving forward. Hopefully, his time away from the game allows him to evolve his game such that he does not get these tough calls again.
