The Denver Broncos have fired Vic Fangio and have begun their search for a new head coach. They've already requested to interview multiple candidates as the franchise hopes to finally find the right coach for the job. It seems they have their eyes on a current Dallas Cowboys assistant right now.

According to Ian Rapoport, the Broncos plan to interview Dan Quinn. He's a strong candidate for Denver, as they seem to like what he's done in Dallas this year. However, the last time Quinn was a head coach didn't go so great, as he left the Atlanta Falcons in a messy situation.

There are plenty of worthy candidates for the Broncos to choose from. The last two head coaching hires they've made have been considered defensive gurus. Dan Quinn is another defensive-minded coach that fits the mold. However, if they choose to hire Quinn, they're at risk of making the same mistake they've made twice before.

We'll see how it all plays out, as the Broncos won't make a quick decision. Taking their time with the hiring process is best, as Denver has a ton of valuable pieces any coach would love to get behind. Although that's true, Denver must make the right decision if they hope to get back on track in the NFL.

Look for the Broncos to interview a handful of candidates before making a decision. They're also showing interest in Kellen Moore. However, after the surprising departure between Brian Flores and the Miami Dolphins, Denver might want to interview Flores as well.
