Drew Lock got the start in Week 1 of the preseason for the Denver Broncos and on Saturday night in Seattle, Teddy Bridgewater got the start for Week 2.

Bridgewater was on point all evening long going 9-11 for 105 yards and one touchdown pass as well. Lock came in as the backup for this one against the Seahawks and did his job as well, going 9-14 for 8o yards for the Broncos.

While Broncos head coach Vic Fangio surprised nobody by not naming a starter for the regular season after the game, he did address a more concrete timeline on when the decision could come, via ProFootballTalk.

“Both of these guys have done well,” coach Vic Fangio said of Drew Lock and Teddy Bridgewater after Saturday’s 30-3 win over the Seahawks in Seattle. “We can play and win with either one of these guys, and that’s a good thing.”

“The calendar’s closing in on us,” Fangio said. “It won’t be tomorrow. The earliest it would be would be early next week, or we’ll let it go another week. These guys, both of them, Drew and Teddy, have done well, as you guys have seen, and they’ve made it a hard decision. We’ll give it thorough thought.”

Lock was the starter for the Broncos for much of last season and showed glimpses of good play but really struggled with the interception and finding a consistent rhythm. Bridgewater came over from the Panthers in the offseason where he started for Carolina last year. He made far less mistakes but also didn't display the big play ability with the Panthers in his only season in Carolina.
