The Denver Broncos made some major changes to their roster this offseason. However, they made it clear early on that they were not ready to part ways from their wide receiver duo of Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders.

One player who is happy about the decision is rookie wideout Courtland Sutton. According to Chase Goodbread of NFL.com, Sutton is excited to learn from Thomas to start his career:

“He reached out to me (Friday) night, and I think I might already be annoying him a little bit, just trying to pick his brain, asking when can we get on the field and start working? How did you get to the point you are? How do you continue to be great?,” said Sutton. “I think we have some similar traits to play this position, but I'm still trying to (add to my game) some of those little traits that make him who he is.”

There is good reason for Sutton to be excited. He has the luxury of learning from one of the best receiving duos in the NFL. Sutton feels he and fellow rookie wide receiver DaeSean Hamilton have the potential to become Thomas/Sanders 2.0.

Of course, Sutton is hoping to take the part of Thomas. The rookie possesses similar size and speed to his veteran mentor. It is clear that he is hoping to learn some of the nuances that turned Thomas into a five-time Pro Bowler. Regardless, every receiver on the roster should be excited to finally have a quarterback under center who can utilize their talents in Case Keeenum.
