This NFL offseason does not stop giving to NFL fans. On Thursday, news surfaced that All-Pro free agent linebacker Bobby Wagner signed a deal to join the Los Angeles Rams. NFL stars from around the league chimed in on social media regarding the signing, including Wagner's former teammate Russell Wilson.

Wilson shared his sentiments on Twitter. “Congrats @BWagz! You deserve it all Legend! As we always say, Don't get bored with consistency. Love you forever bro! (with a goat emoji)”

Wilson and Wagner previously won their only Super Bowl together, destroying the record-breaking Denver Broncos 43-8. They nearly won another together but ultimately fell to Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.

Bobby Wagner had spent his entire 10-year career with the Seattle Seahawks. During his time, he earned recognition as one of the best defensive players in the league, hands down. Wagner has been named an All-Pro linebacker eight years in row, including in 2021. Six of those years he was a first-teamer, too.

Wagner finished second in Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2012 and astoundingly finished 5th in NFL MVP voting in 2014. He joins a Rams team that is already loaded with talent. They are the defending Super Bowl champions and might be getting better next year.

One key loss was future Hall of Fame defensive end Von Miller. Even though Wagner and Miller play different roles, you can definitely make the case that the Rams defense is better today than it was yesterday with Wagner signing. The Rams still face some questions, particularly will they bring back wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. He is still a free agent and coming off his injury from the Super Bowl.

Either way, the Rams are clearly looking to become the first team since the Patriots in 2003 and 2004 to repeat as champs.
