Reigning NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers may be donning a Denver Broncos jersey soon. The disgruntled Green Bay Packers quarterback has been heavily linked to Broncos as soon as news broke out that he wants out of Wisconsin. Per Cecil Lammey of DenverFan.com, Denver will no longer pursue a young signal-caller in the 2021 NFL Draft since they will be going all-in on Rodgers.

The possibility of Rodgers joining the Broncos is reportedly “as close to a done deal as it can be”.

WOW.

The Broncos were reportedly in Rodgers' shortlist of preferred destinations, which also includes the San Francisco 49ers and Las Vegas Raiders.

Denver is indeed in need of help at quarterback this coming season after trading away Teddy Bridgewater earlier this week to the Carolina Panthers. Most pundits expect Broncos general manager George Paton to take a young, upcoming quarterback in the draft but looks like they will be trying for that home run if they can somehow land the nine-time Pro-Bowl member.

Paton, of course, is extremely familiar with how Rodgers operates on the gridiron, from his battles with the Minnesota Vikings. The Broncos executive worked with the Vikings from 2015-20. The same goes for Broncos head coach Vic Fangio who had to deal with Rodgers when he was defensive coordinator for the Chicago Bears.

Broncos fans, meanwhile, are celebrating like they already signed Rodgers. After all, he does have quite a connection with Mile High City. Rodgers' fiance Shailene Woodley lives in Boulder, Colorado, which isn't too far from Denver. The lovely pair has been in a long-distance relationship for quite some time and this would be a great opportunity for Rodgers to spend more time with her.

But, there's more.

So, what will the Broncos do? Will Aaron Rodgers be the next quarterback for the Broncos? Only time will tell.
