Denver Broncos superstar pass rusher Von Miller is currently dealing with a dislocated peroneal tendon.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, that is an injury that could keep him out 5-6 months. With the absolute best case scenario still seeing him miss three months.

That sounds like there's a strong chance that Miller is going to miss the entire season. And of course, if that is indeed the case it would be a massive blow to the Broncos in 2020.

However, Denver is a little more optimistic about Miller's status for the season.

“There’s a chance of [Miller’s season being over],” [Broncos head coach Vic] Fangio said. “It’s too early to say for sure, but he’s definitely out for awhile.”

Okay, obviously it's not like Denver is pretending Miller is fine and will be ready to go after just a few games. But them are absolutely holding out hope that he will be back before the end of the season.

And if that is the case, the Broncos could be a very scary team late in the season as they try to (hopefully) make a playoff push.

Denver has one of the most exciting young offenses in football with an incredibly interesting passing attack. It is still the defense that should be their bread and butter, though. Miller is perhaps the MVP of that unit.

The linebacker racked up eight sacks in 15 games last season. It was just the second time in his nine-year career that Miller recorded fewer than 10 sacks in a season.

He is one of the most dangerous pass rushers the game has ever seen and an absolute game-changer when he's on the field. So the fact that the Broncos seem to believe they will still be getting his services in 2020 is absolutely exciting news for Denver fans everywhere.

There is one issue with that though. Even the Broncos are admitting he will be out a very long time. There is no guarantee that Miller is ready to play again this season.

So there is of course a chance that he is indeed out for the entirety of 2020. And if that's the case, there is a massive hole that needs to be filled in the Denver defense.
