It appears that Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield and running back Duke Johnson have put asides their differences and are ready to help the team this season. Mayfield said on Thursday that he and Johnson are good and there are no hard feelings on either side.

Johnson has requested a trade a couple of times from the team but has continued to show up for practices and it appears he will accept his role if he is on the team when the team kicks off the regular season. Earlier this offseason Mayfield raised some eyebrows when he made some comments critical about Johnson and his want to be on the team.

“You’re either on this train or you’re not,” Mayfield said via Heavy.com. “I wouldn’t say I’m not happy about it. It’s just the way he’s handled it. It can be a stir-up in the media, it can be however it wants, but if somebody wants to be here, they’ll be here in that situation. You’ve got guys within our locker room that are dying to get playing time, that are dying to be here.’’

Johnson is unhappy with some of the moves the team has made that looks like it will diminish his role, but at least early on in the season, he should have a big role. Kareem Hunt is suspended to start the season so Johnson should be the backup behind Nick Chubb.

It's good that these two are good with each other because they will be seeing a lot of one another the next few months.
