With a Week 1 rout over the Cleveland Browns in northeast Ohio, the Tennessee Titans were not without their distasteful responses—but coming from a fan is a different story. Titans cornerback Logan Ryan, who had intercepted Browns franchise quarterback Baker Mayfield for a pick-six, too, was the target of purposefully sloppy beer handling by a Cleveland fan while celebrating the defensive score.

Following the incident, the Browns released a statement on the matter (per The Chronicle-Telegram's Scott Petrak on Twitter):

“This individual person's action is not tolerated in our building as it is not reflective of our fan base or city. We are currently addressing the situation internally, along with NFL Security, and we believe we have identified the person involved. He will ultimately face an indefinite ban from FirstEnergy Stadium for the unacceptable behavior, which is in clear violation of our Fan code of Conduct.”

The Browns were righteously romped in their much-anticipated season-opening tilt with the Titans. A horrific performance by Mayfield was the most glaring blemish, but Cleveland's defense was atrocious as well.

Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota completed just 14 passes but for 248 yards and three touchdowns en route to Tennessee's 30-point margin of victory over the Browns.

The 28-year-old Ryan is a nine-year NFL veteran who has played for the Titans for now three seasons after initially starting his career with the New England Patriots (like his secondary teammate Malcolm Butler).

Ryan was selected in the third round of the 2013 draft by the Patriots, later winning two Super Bowls with the franchise before signing a three-year deal with the Titans in the 2017 offseason.
