Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett is currently being picked by many as the favorite to win the 2021 NFL Defensive Player of the Year award, and he could bolster his resume for this honor with one reachable feat.

Garrett is on one of the best runs of his career with the Browns. He leads the NFL in sacks with 13.0, as he has recorded at least half a sack in nine of 10 games played so far in the campaign. More so, he sits at the top of the leaderboard in quarterback hits (24) and is tied with two other players for the most tackles for a loss (12).

The Browns pass rusher is closing in on breaking one historic team record. Former defensive end Reggie Camp is the record holder for the most sacks in a season in Browns history, as he notched 14.0 sacks over the 1984 campaign.

At this rate, it is seemingly only a matter of time before Garrett breaks this record with ease, especially as he is on track for the first 20.0-plus sacks campaign of his career. He already owns the record for the most sacks in a game in Browns team history, and this feat sure would be another impressive one for him.

With 55.5 sacks over 61 games played, Garrett is continuing to make a strong case to be the most prolific pass rusher in Browns team history, which would be quite a task considering that the likes of Camp and Clay Matthews shined in this area of play during their runs with the team.

For now, Garrett sure will look to extend his sack streak in Cleveland's upcoming Week 11 home matchup against the Detroit Lions.
