Defensive lineman Emmanuel Ogbah did not report to Cleveland Browns camp on Monday, and Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that the reason is because Ogbah is expecting to be traded soon.

Ogbah is coming off of a 2018 campaign in which he played in 14 games and finished with 40 tackles, three sacks, a fumble recovery and eight passes defended.

The 25-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Oklahoma State University, was originally selected by the Browns in the second round (32nd pick overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft.

He started all 16 contests during his rookie season, totaling 53 tackles and 5.5 sacks in a rather impressive showing.

However, the following year, Ogbah was a pretty big disappointment to no real fault of his own, as he participated in just 10 games due to a fractured foot. During the time he was on the field, he registered 29 tackles, four sacks, a couple of forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and six passes defended.

While the biggest moves the Browns have made this offseason have come on offense, adding wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and running back Kareem Hunt, they have also made some noise on the defensive side of the ball, bringing in pass rusher Olivier Vernon and defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson.

Cleveland went 7-8-1 this past season, marking the franchise's best finish since winning 10 games all the way back in 2007. The Browns have not made the playoffs since the 2002-03 campaign, representing the longest active postseason drought in the NFL.

But, given all of their offseason work, the Browns seem prepared to end their dry spell.
