Rumors and speculation of Odell Beckham Jr. wanting out of the Cleveland Browns without having finished his first season with them are running rampant. However, according to his best friend and teammate Jarvis Landry, that may not be all too true.

“He doesn't want to leave, and he's not trying to leave,” Landry said on Thursday, via Jake Trotter of ESPN.”It's not even about trying to go somewhere else. I think for him, he's been a leader, he's a guy that comes to work every day, he's a guy that's playing through injuries, all the things you want out of a player. Inside of this organization, he has a voice, he has responsibility to himself, to all of us, to go out there and compete each and every Sunday, and he does that.”

The Browns brought in Beckham in the offseason. His production has not matched the price Cleveland paid to pry him off of the New York Giants, being a first-round pick, a third-round pick and safety Jabrill Peppers.

A three-time Pro Bowler, Beckham is having a career-low year with the Browns in 2019. In 13 games played, the mercurial wide-out has tallied 59 receptions for 844 yards and two touchdowns, which would be on-pace for career lows across the board. He has not a 100-plus yard game in his last seven appearances, the longest such streak of his career.

Though his stats are low, they may be warranted. Beckham dealt with a sports hernia for the entirety of the season, which he will have surgery for.
