The Cleveland Browns have conducted plenty of interviews for their vacant head coaching job and their final one came on Friday. After spending hours speaking to Jimmy Haslam, Josh McDaniels is on his way out of Cleveland upon finishing his interview per Cleveland.com.

Before Josh McDaniels, the Browns held visits for Kevin Stefanski, Eric Bieniemy, and others. By looking at the list of candidates they've spoken to, it appears that Cleveland is interested in an offensive-minded coach.

Therefore, Josh McDaniels fits what the Browns are looking for in their next head coach.

At the same time, it depends on whether Josh McDaniels is intrigued by the idea of leaving the New England Patriots for the Browns.

Over the past eight seasons, Josh McDaniels has spent his time as New England's offensive coordinator. But before that, he had a short stint with the Denver Broncos as the team's head coach.

After going 11-17 in his first 28 games, he was fired before he could finish his second season in Denver. However, his first head coaching gig came 10 years ago and he's had more time to learn under Bill Belichick.

In 2018, Josh McDaniels almost became the head coach of the Indianapolis Colts. Then, after considering his options, he chose to return to New England and Frank Reich got the job.

Now, Cleveland could be the perfect job for the successful assistant coach. The Browns don't currently have a general manager either due to parting ways with John Dorsey. Considering that, McDaniels could be given a similar role that Belichick has with the Patriots.

The Browns are the only team remaining in the NFL that has yet to hire a new head coach. Since no other teams are in need of a head coach, Cleveland is in no rush to decide whether or not McDaniels is the right guy for the future.
