Deshaun Watson is in the middle of a controversy, but that did not stop Cleveland Browns guard Wyatt Teller from heaping praises on the dual-threat quarterback, whose abilities on the football field should make a tremendous positive impact on the team's offense the moment he starts taking snaps under center in the regular season.
Via Marla Ridenour of the Akron Beacon Journal:
“He’s an athletic freak,” the Browns' right guard said Thursday.
“He's professional, he works extremely hard, he's studying, you can tell that he cares about it. I know he wants to win games and I'm thankful to have him in the backfield.”
Teller explained further his take on Watson:

Watson elevates not only the potential but the expectations of what the Browns can do offensively. Back in the 202 NFL season, the Browns had Baker Mayfield as their no. 1 quarterback but they were a run-heavy team that largely depended upon the legs of running backs Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt, and D'Ernest Johnson. Adding Watson to the backfield mix makes the Browns' ground attack even more lethal, while also raising the ceiling of their passing attack.
The Browns gave Watson an enormous contract extension to be their long-term quarterback, and while his off-the-field issues loom over Cleveland, Wyatt and the rest of the team can still dream big about what they can do on the turf with the 26-year-old signal-caller orchestrating the offense.
