Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band won't be going to the Czech Republic and Italy for their concerts any time soon, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Boss announced on Instagram that he and the E Street Band are postponing three shows in Prague and Milan, as Springsteen was directed by doctors not to perform in the next 10 days.

This announcement comes after the legendary musician needed to reschedule his planned Saturday Marseille concert “due to vocal issues.”

Upon “further examination and consulting has led doctors to determine that Bruce should not perform for the next 10 days,” Springsteen posted on the social media platform.

The Boss will see you later…

Bruce Springsteen, tour

The concerts postpone are the May 28 show in Prague at Airport Letnany and June 1 and June 3 shows in Milan at the San Siro Stadium. New concert dates for the concerts “will be announced shortly,” The Boss said.

The post continued that the singer “is recuperating comfortably,” while the European tour will start in Madrid on June 12.

Last fall, Springsteen and the E Street Band postponed all 2023 tour dates up to the next year due to his peptic ulcer disease. The singer went through treatment for it and was in recovery from last year.

The Boss told his fans at the time, “Thanks to all my friends and fans for your good wishes, encouragement and support. I'm on the mend and can't wait to see you all next year.”

Springsteen had already postponed and canceled several dates due to health issues before this announcement. All in all, there have been 29 tour shows postponed due to the singer's illness as well as the band members' contracting COVID-19.

Late last year, it was rumored that The Boss was set to headline the 2024 Glastonbury Festival. However, that's surely not going to happen know in light of the concert postponement announcement.

… maybe in a movie?

A film based on the making of Springsteen's 1982 album Nebraska is currently in production. The singer and his long-time manager Jon Landau are involved in the movie's production. Scott Cooper serves as writer and director. The movie, Deliver Me from Nowhere, is based on Warren James' 2023 book of the same title. The Bear star Jeremy Allen White is in negotiations to play The Boss. Succession star Jeremy Strong is also in talks to play Landau.

Even in the middle of his recovery, Springsteen has been busy. He recently contributed guitar to a re-release of Going Home: Theme of the Local Hero by Mark Knopfler, according to NME. This was done to for the Teenage Cancer Trust. The Best of Bruce Springsteen, his eighth compilation album was released in April.

In other recent Boss news, his 1975 studio album Born to Run was recently named number 22 in Apple Music's Best 100 Album. Variety reported that the upcoming documentary Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band will be released on Disney+ and Hulu in October, chronicling the singer and the band's 2023-2024 world tour.

The Bruce Springsteen and E Street Band 2023 Tour began in February last year and is set to end this November in Vancouver. With the postponements and cancellations, the tour will likely stretch to 2025.
