Tom Brady could be without an important target this weekend against the Los Angeles Rams. Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown has been placed on the COVID-19/reserve list by the team, leaving his status up in the air for Week 3. Via Rick Stroud of The Tampa Bay Times:
Bucs WR Antonio Brown has been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. He would have to have two negative tests 24 hours apart to be eligible to play Sunday at Los Angeles.

As Stroud noted, Brown will need two negative tests in order to be cleared to play on Sunday. This is definitely a blow to the Buccaneers because the former Steelers star has been solid so far this season. He led Tampa Bay with five receptions on 121 yards in their season opener against the Dallas Cowboys while also collecting a touchdown. AB was less effective in Week 2 though, compiling just one catch.
Article Continues BelowThe Buccaneers have lots of options downfield for Brady, but Brown is definitely a key one. Head coach Bruce Arians said in early September that Tampa is fully vaccinated, it's believed that Antonio Brown has received the jab. But with the Delta Variant still floating around the world, it appears he has picked up the virus anyway.
Brown signed with the Buccaneers midway through the 2020 season, helping them capture their first Super Bowl since 2003. Hopefully, he can have a quick turnaround here and be ready for the Rams game, but it will be tough.
