The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were dealt a myriad of injuries on Sunday night and have begun seeking out reinforcements. On Tuesday, the team made a pretty significant move to add some depth to the backfield in the midst of Leonard Fournette's injury. According to NFL insider Tom Pelissero, the Bucs are signing veteran running back Le'Veon Bell, pending a physical.

Bell was previously with the Baltimore Ravens this season but was cut by the team after just five games. He'll now be reunited with former Pittsburgh Steelers teammate Antonio Brown in Tampa Bay, where he'll hope to play a significant role with Fournette on the sideline for the time being.

The addition of Bell makes a lot of sense for Tampa, as the team looks to add some quality depth to fill the void left by Fournette, who is expected to be placed on IR with his hamstring injury, per Adam Schefter.

Bell is an experienced veteran, who at his prime, was the most feared running back in football. If he can recapture some of that glory in Tampa, similarly to how Fournette experienced a career resurgence with the Buccaneers, then this will be a home-run signing for Tampa, and one that comes at minimal risk.

Throughout his career, Bell has featured in 93 NFL games, racking up more than 6,500 rushing yards and 42 rushing touchdowns over nine seasons. Prior to adding Bell, the Buccaneers' backfield consisted of Ronald Jones and Ke'Shawn Vaughn, with both Fournette and Gio Bernard out with injuries.

Bell will look to make the most of his latest opportunity in the NFL after failing to find his footing in each of his past stints with the New York Jets, Kansas City Chiefs, and Baltimore Ravens.
