There was nothing but love from New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman as he reacted to former teammates Tom Brady and Rob Gronkwski booking their place in Super Bowl 55 following the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 31-26 victory over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night.
Edelman, who himself has been on the receiving end of more than a few Brady passes during their time together with the Pats, took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the Bucs bagging the NFC championship behind another Tom Brady epic performance:
In case there was any confusion as to what Edelman meant in his not-so-cryptic tweet, the 34-year-old decided to spell it out in his next tweet:
Clearly, there is no doubt in Edleman's mind that Tom Brady is indeed the greatest of all time. The GOAT.
Despite leading his squad to a momentous victory, Brady did show his human side on Sunday in what turned out to be a forgettable second-half showing. After a GOAT-like performance in the first half which included a momentum-grabbing 39-yard TD pass right before the break, Brady did not look like his usual self in the second half. The three-time league MVP conceded three interceptions after the break, which nearly cost the Bucs the victory.
With Tampa Bay still managing to score the victory, however, Brady's subpar second half is not something that will remain in the memory of most fans. If you ask Julian Edelman, you know what he's going to say about his former teammate's showing on Sunday night.
