Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski, a WWE performer, is looking to add another championship to his resume in the 2020 NFL season. Unfortunately, it seems he has already lost one of his other esteemed titles in the process.

R-Truth got the slip on Gronkowski to take back the WWE 24/7 title belt:

It is fitting that Gronkowski had the title taken way in an unexpected fashion. After all, that is how he came to win the belt in the first place when he procured it under the guise of being a guest host for WWE WrestleMania 36.

Of course, it was a necessary evil in Gronkowski's case. Although he had just started his new life as a WWE champion, his reign as the 24/7 title holder has now come to an end after 56 days, the longest streak in the the 24/7 title’s existence.

It is safe to assume that Gronkowski is hoping to fill the void with another trophy from his first career as a football player. He and quarterback Tom Brady have generated plenty of hype with their arrival and expectations are now higher than ever for the Bucs.

Fortunately, high expectations are nothing new for the former New England Patriots teammates. The fact that this year's Super Bowl is slated to be hosted by Tampa Bay certainly adds plenty of intrigue to the 2020 campaign. While his second career as an entertainer may be on hold for now, Rob Gronkowski will still have a chance to put on quite a show by picking where he left off before retirement.
