The Tom Brady-Rob Gronkowski connection is coming out again, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end caught his second touchdown in the second quarter of Super Bowl 55.

After the pair ended the first quarter with a touchdown to give the Buccaneers a 7-3 lead, they came back in the second quarter and capitalized on a Kansas City Chiefs special teams blunder to extend their lead to 14-3.

The Bucs had lined up for a Ryan Succop field goal, but the Chiefs were called for a neutral zone infraction, giving the Buccaneers a first down. The very next play, Brady and Gronk connected on a 17-yard score in the back of the end zone.

Tom Brady threw his first touchdown pass in the first quarter, something he had never done before throughout his career. Meanwhile, Gronk moved up the leaderboard for playoff touchdown receptions–behind only Jerry Rice.

With so many eyes on Chris Godwin, Mike Evans and Antonio Brown, the Chiefs once again left Rob Gronkowski open. Sure enough, he made them pay with his second score in as many quarters.

The Chiefs went down by 11 again after the score. The last time they were down by  such margin in the Super Bowl, they made a run and ended up beating the San Francisco 49ers behind the incredible play of Patrick Mahomes.

The Brady and Gronk connection is undoubtedly back on the biggest stage, and the two continue to rise up the leaderboard as Brady looks for his seventh Super Bowl trophy.
