After the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost to the New Orleans Saints 34-23, legendary quarterback Tom Brady shared an honest assessment of his performance.

In their season-opening loss, Brady threw two interceptions, one of which resulted in a touchdown for the Saints. After the game, Brady criticized himself and the Buccaneers' “poor execution.”

“Well, I certainly think poor execution and that’s what it comes down to. It’s a game of execution. Obviously, they made more plays than we did and I just made some bad, terrible turnovers and it’s hard to win turning the ball over like that. I obviously have to do a lot better job,” Tom Brady said, per Justin Leger of NBC Sports.

Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians criticized Brady for those two interceptions. He called the first a “miscommunication” between Tom Brady and Mike Evans. The second one — which resulted in a pick-six — was simply a “bad decision” on Brady's part.

Amid his stature in the game, Brady nodded his head in acceptance and acknowledged that the fault ultimately his.

“Yeah, they were bad throws. When it comes down to it they were just bad throws – can’t do it,” Brady added.

Buccaneers fans shouldn't put their head down despite the loss. After all, their loss comes in just in the first week of the NFL season. With Brady in the fold, these errors, miscommunications and bad decisions will be cleaned up in the next game.

After all, TB12 didn't win six Super Bowls without a reason.
