Atlanta Hawks forward Jabari Parker, who began his NBA career with the Milwaukee Bucks, says he won't rule out a possible return to Milwaukee.

Parker has a player option worth $6,500,000 for next season. If he declines it, the former No. 2 overall pick would become an unrestricted free agent after this season ends.

Parker acknowledged it was a bummer how his time in Milwaukee ended:

“Never. I would never rule out a possible return here,” Parker told Eric Woodyard of ESPN. “I would never do that. It's just so sad how it ended and I wish I could've stayed.”

Parker was never able to live up to the hype of being a No. 2 overall pick with the Bucks, but it wasn't his fault. The Chicago native tore his ACL twice.

With the emergence of Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Bucks were content with moving on from Parker in the summer of 2018. Jabari signed with his hometown Chicago Bulls, but that partnership only lasted 39 games. Parker didn't have a good relationship with head coach Jim Boylen. Chicago traded Parker to the Washington Wizards in the Otto Porter Jr. trade.

Parker is scoring the ball well for the Hawks this season. He's averaging 16.9 points while shooting 51.3 percent from the field and 73.3 percent from the free-throw line. It would be a neat story to see Parker play for the Bucks again. Only time will tell if it actually happens.
