The Milwaukee Bucks have just received some excellent news ahead of their Friday showdown against the New York Knicks. Three-time All-Defense point guard Jrue Holiday is set to suit up for the Bucks after recovering from a left ankle issue.

This report comes via Marc Berman of the New York Post:

Holiday has been sidelined for the past five contests and has currently missed six out of the Bucks' first eight games of the season. It's clearly been a non-ideal start to the campaign for the 31-year-old. The good news here is that he's been able to recover from the ankle injury in time for Milwaukee's marquee matchup against the Knicks on Friday.

The defending NBA champs have not been at their best to start their 2021-22 campaign. They currently have a 4-4 record, but they were recently on a three-game skid prior to their 117-89 blowout win against the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday. Needless to say, they've missed the services of their starting point guard in Holiday.

As the above report states, the Bucks will still be without Khris Middleton, who himself has been placed in the league's health and safety protocols after testing positive for COVID-19. The All-Star shooting guard is without a firm timetable to return.
