There's a new contender on the console wars and the market is heating up, or cooling down. Beer company Bud Light just unveiled its own next-generation video game console.  The BL6 is the latest console that “won't overheat or spew smoke …even if you vape near it.

It may seem like a joke product but it's allegedly a proper gaming unit. The “coolest console ever” features a “high-powered gaming PC” that's pre-loaded with several fighting games from Bandai Namco. Lucky buyers of this rare console will be able to play games like Tekken 7 and SoulCalibur VI as well as RBI Baseball 20 and Broforce with all their bros.  A “one-of-a-kind first-ever beer cooling system” allegedly cools the entire gaming system. We don't know how it works but it all sounds very cool.

If you're interested in getting your hands on a BL6 you might be in for a rough fight. The BL6 is sold only through auction on ShopBeerGear. The highest bid on the console is currently at $2,200. The auction will end officially on November 20.

This is all good fun but the people at Bud Light are doing it for an amazing cause. Bud Light is donating all of the proceeds of the auction to the National Restaurant Education Foundation. The foundation aims to help support restaurant workers affected by the ongoing COVID pandemic. There's nothing quite like getting a nifty customized console in the process as far as donating to charities go. Bud Light claims the BL6 is 1/2 Koozie, 1/2 Console, and 1/2 projector. This is by far the coolest charity campaign of the year.
