Over his last six games, Chicago Bulls center Robin Lopez is averaging 20.2 points while shooting 65.3 percent from the field. It's a scoring binge no one in Chicago saw coming, but Bulls head coach Jim Boylen says because the big man plays with pure heart and hustle, anything is possible.

Lopez is averaging just 7.9 points per game on the season in 53 games, so his previous six games have definitely been eye-popping:

It doesn't look like Lopez is going to get a buyout from the Bulls, but that's not going to affect the veteran's motor and commitment to the team. The 30-year-old is the definition of what a pro is. He was a good soldier about his lack of playing time earlier in the season when rookie Wendell Carter Jr. was healthy and starting and has been a good presence in the locker room all season.

The Bulls are 16-45 on the season, 13th place in the Eastern Conference standings. Vice president John Paxson and general manager Gar Forman are notorious for not liking to do buyouts, so it's not that much of a surprise that Robin Lopez will remain in the Windy City past the March 1 buyout deadline.

Lopez is making $14,357,750 this season. He becomes an unrestricted free agent in the summer.
