Following the altercation he was involved in together with Bobby Portis last week, there’s now a new development on the future of Nikola Mirotic with the Chicago Bulls.

Despite the report that was made that he still wants to continue his career in The Windy City, the 26-year-old is now apparently not going to veto a possible trade, should the Bulls find a taker for him by January 18, which is the earliest he can be dealt, according to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune.

Just last week, news broke out about a skirmish during a team’s practice session between him and Portis, which resulted in Nikola Mirotic getting hospitalized. He suffered a facial fracture from the blows he took, and Portis was subsequently suspended by the Bulls for eight games for his unwanted actions.

After signing a two-year, $27 million extension last month, it appeared like Mirotic’s future is set with the Bulls. However, the latest twist goes to show that nothing is really set in stone. He won't be lacking suitors though as his ability to stretch the floor and get hot from downtown is an integral asset in today's small-ball, 3-point-loving NBA.
