Zach LaVine just signed the max extension to stay with the Chicago Bulls, and sure enough, he's ecstatic to be with the Windy City franchise long-term.

The 27-year-old uber-athletic guard agreed to a five-year, $215.2 million deal to stay with the Bulls. He also has a player option in the final year of the deal, which means he'll be with Chicago at least until the 2026-27 season.

More than the money, though, LaVine has other reasons to be happy with the commitment he got from the Bulls. For one, the opportunity to continue on what they have built so far excites the high-flyer.

“Chicago is my home,” LaVine told NBC Sports. “I really started making my name here. And I want to continue what I helped start here as well. I’m extremely excited. I appreciate the fans. And I’m ready to continue this winning process that we have going.”

There was never really any doubt that Zach LaVine is staying with the Bulls, as he even quickly took to Twitter to share his reaction to the news and highlight that he's not leaving and the show goes on in Chicago.

Nonetheless, it is definitely great to see him make things official and commit to the Bulls as well.
