The Chicago Bulls' roster is in absolute shambles right now with seven players currently in health and safety protocols due to COVID-19. While DeMar DeRozan should be back soon, Zach LaVine was just diagnosed on Sunday. Unfortunately, he is expected to be out until after Christmas, which would be more than two weeks, according to head coach Billy Donovan.

It's not ideal that Ayo Dosunmu and Alize Johnson will be on the shelf until then as well, but LaVine is the most notable blow. The Bulls star has been showing out this season alongside DeRozan, averaging 26 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.2 assists on 39% shooting from long range.

Chicago's last two games have been postponed because of the COVID-19 outbreak within the organization. They were supposed to play the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday and the Toronto Raptors on Thursday.

Despite the problems, it's been a very impressive season for the Bulls. They're currently 17-10 which is good for third in the East and frankly, Donovan's squad could have an even better record if it wasn't for all the absences.

If LaVine does in fact remain out until after Christmas, that means he would miss three or potentially four more contests. But, if the Bulls can get DeRozan back in the fold alongside Lonzo Ball and Nikola Vucevic, they should be able to grind out some victories.
