Call of Duty: Mobile's grandest annual esports tournament finally returns after being canceled in 2020. The Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship 2021 features the best teams around the world. Additionally, the teams stand a chance to win the lion's cut of the USD 2,000,000 prize pool. It's been a wild ride for COD: Mobile due to the pandemic but it all comes to a head this July. CALL OF DUTY: MOBILE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2021

Activision's Mobile Vice President Matt Lewis talked about the importance of the mobile version of Call of Duty.

“The momentum worldwide for Call of Duty: Mobile is incredible as our players continue to have a great time playing.”

He went on to discuss the plans for the future of COD: M's esports scene. The tournament continues from last year's cancelation. Now, the players will properly face off against the best talent in the game for the privilege of taking home the crown. Activision promised to announce more details about the tournament in the near future.

“Picking up from last year’s competition, we’ve increased the prize money up for grabs and the number of teams that can qualify, so there are even more reasons for fans to prove they’ve got what it takes to be the best.”

Activision confirmed that Sony's latest flagship smartphone, the Xperia 1 III, will stand as the official mobile device of the 2021 Mobile World Championship.

Soon, players around the world can test their might in regional qualifiers. The tournament doesn't seem to be limited to professional organizations.
