It was a disappointing night for the Arizona Cardinals. Not only were the Cardinals soundly defeated by the division-rival Los Angeles Rams in the Wild Card round, but Arizona suffered a tough loss when the heart and soul of their defense, safety Budda Baker, went down with a scary injury. Baker, who tweeted out an uplifting message during his overnight stay in the hospital, offered a long-term prognosis to fans via his Instagram account on Tuesday, as reported by NFL Network's Chase Goodbread.

Arizona Cardinals safety Budda Baker expects to make a full recovery from a frightening head injury suffered Monday night in the team's playoff loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

Cardinals safety Budda Baker said that he expects to make a full recovery. That's excellent news for the Cardinals and their fans, especially given how scary the injury looked during the game against the Rams.

Baker, who was diagnosed with a concussion, collided headfirst with Rams running back Cam Akers and remained limp on the field, though he did have movement in his extremities when he was taken off the field via stretcher.

Things seemed to be trending in the right direction when the Cardinals safety sent out a tweet Monday night saying that he was “doing good”- and this update from Baker on his injury is the best news that Arizona and NFL fans could have hoped for.

While it's disappointing for Cardinals fans to have to deal with an early playoff exit at the hands of the Rams, the franchise received the best update possible on the scary Budda Baker injury.
