The Arizona Cardinals' starting quarterback Kyler Murray is more than likely taking time off the field until the Cardinals' bye week, due to the high-ankle injury he incurred in Week 8. This means that should Murray remain on the sidelines against the Seattle Seahawks, Colt McCoy is expected to fill in for Murray as the Cardinals' starting QB. As per Ian Rapoport:

A prolonged absence on Murray's end is bad news for Cardinals fans, as Murray has been doing relatively well in the weeks leading up to his Week 8 injury, as he has recorded 2276 pass yards, 17 touchdowns, completing 186/256 passes. Fans can still remain hopeful however, as any announcement regarding Murray would likely not be made until pre-game warmups, as Adam Schefter states:

With McCoy serving as the starting QB in Murray's stead, the Cardinals did manage to exert their will on the San Francisco 49ers, 31-17, before dropping their Week 10 matchup against the Carolina Panthers, 10-34. Jess Root of Cards Wire provides an analysis of McCoy's performance amid Murray's absence:

“The Seattle defense is 31st in yards allowed this season, so if McCoy can protect the football better, they should be able to get into a rhythm and have a chance of winning their ninth game of the season.”

As the NFC playoff race kicks off Kyler Murray's return should be vital to the Cardinals in their effort to go on a deep postseason run.
