The Ole Miss Runnin' Rebels college football program has had a great offseason already. They landed a top-25 recruiting class, and also were able to bring in two of the biggest transfers. Former USC quarterback Jaxson Dart and TCU running back Zach Evans left their former schools to join Lane Kiffin in Mississippi.

Even though he landed a solid recruiting class, creating higher expectations, he still has issues with the new policies in place.

As ESPN senior writer Mark Schlabach noted, Kiffin has some strong opinions on the matter.

“We don't have the same funding resources as some of these schools do for these NIL deals… It's basically dealing with different salary caps. Now we have a sport that has completely different salary caps and some of these schools have, whatever, five to 10 times more than everybody else in what they can pay the players. I know nobody uses those phrases, but that is what it is.”

Kiffin goes on to relate it to free agency in the NFL, and how this is going to create a lot of problems for college football.

“In free agency in the NFL, players usually go to the most money… Every once in a while, they don't because they already have a bunch of money. Well, these kids are 17 and 18 years old. They're going to go where they're paid the most.”

It's hard to argue against. Players can now enter the transfer portal and switch schools without being forced to sit a season. That potentially allows for players to do exactly what Kiffin is talking about.
