Marcus Mariota was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft and was expected to become a star. Unfortunately for the Tennessee Titans, that did not end up being the case. Now, the Titans are going to move forward with Ryan Tannehill at quarterback following his impressive breakout season after taking over the starting job from Mariota.

Obviously, that means that Mariota will be looking for a new home this offseason. He is set to hit free agency and there are a few teams that could take a chance on the raw talent that he brings to the field. Perhaps a change of scenery could be what Mariota needs to turn things around.

Pro Football Focus has made their predictions for where free agent quarterbacks will end up landing. For Mariota, they have the Los Angeles Chargers swooping in to sign him with Philip Rivers set to leave town.

If this does end up happening, Mariota would be given the chance to compete for the starting job with Tyrod Taylor. Los Angeles also could look into drafting either Tua Tagovailoa or Justin Herbert with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. However, Mariota is only 26 years old and the Chargers could view him as a potential long-term option.

Mariota played in just seven games for the Titans in 2019 before being replaced by Tannehill. He completed 59.4 percent of his pass attempts for 1,203 yards, seven touchdowns, and two interceptions.

Those numbers don't look horrible outside of his completion percentage. Mariota will need to work on that in order to turn his career around wherever he ends up signing. His ability to make plays with his legs will be an attractive quality for teams in the market for a quarterback this offseason.

Los Angeles would certainly be an intriguing landing spot. So would the New England Patriots, for that matter. It will be interesting to see where Mariota lands this offseason in free agency.
