Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Tyrod Taylor will reportedly not file a grievance against the team and its doctor after he was given a pain-killing injection that led to his lung getting accidentally punctured back in September, as per NFL Network‘s Ian Rapoport.

Rapoport also added that the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) will take the necessary steps in order to avoid the incident from happening again moving forward.

The former Virginia Tech standout was initially instated by Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn as the team's QB1 prior to the 2020 NFL season. He starred in their Week 1 victory against the Cincinnati Bengals back on September 14 but was eventually forced to remain on the sidelines due to the severity of the injury.

Taylor's condition has already progressed over the weeks and he has already been involved in the team's full practices recently although he has yet to see action back on the gridiron once again.

During his absence, rookie gunslinger Justin Herbert managed to take over the reins and has been performing effectively under center,  thus becoming the team's starting quarterback over the past several games. However, the first-year pro's impressive performances have yet to translate to wins for the Chargers thus far.

The Los Angeles-based squad remains in the cellar-dwelling spot of the AFC West division armed with a 3-8 record through Week 12 proceedings. Heading into the latter stages of the season, Chargers fans are eager to know whether or not Tyrod Taylor can still make another appearance on the field for the team.
