The Kansas City Chiefs are the reigning Super Bowl champions, but they aren't content with where they are at. Even though the Chiefs looked unstoppable as they won the Super Bowl Andy Reid claims that Kansas City still has room to get better.

“We're not going to just go, ‘OK, we have everybody coming back and we'll just run the same plays.' No, we're going to keep growing. I don't think we came near to what we could be last year.”

Throughout the offseason, the Chiefs have been able to retain 20 of their 22 starters. The only two starters that won't be returning next season are Stefen Wisniewski and Reggie Ragland. Given that, the Chiefs expect to have just as much success, if not more, in 2020.

With Patrick Mahomes leading the way, Kansas City's offense has become an absolute juggernaut. Just this past season, the Chiefs boasted the sixth-ranked offense in terms of yards per game. On the other hand, they also averaged 28.2 points per game (fifth-most in the NFL).

At the same time, with Steve Spagnuolo calling the shots on defense, the Chiefs made vast improvements on that side of the ball. The thing is, Kansas City could have got even better on the offensive side of the ball this offseason.

In the 2020 NFL Draft, the Chiefs added Clyde Edwards-Helaire in the first round, giving them an upgrade at running back. Despite the fact that he just won a Super Bowl nearly three months ago, Reid believes Kansas City hasn't reached its ceiling yet. Without a doubt, other teams in the NFL should be terrified of what the Chiefs would look like at their absolute best.
