The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Oakland Raiders in Week 2, but they didn't come out of the game completely healthy. After receiving an MRI on Monday, LeSean McCoy's ankle injury showed no significant damage.

The veteran running back made an early exit in Sunday's game versus the Raiders with an injury to his ankle. With there being no significant damage to his ankle, there is a chance that McCoy suits up in a must-watch game against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 3.

Kansas City signed McCoy prior to the beginning of the season following his release from the Buffalo Bills. Through two weeks in the season, the versatile rusher has gained 104 yards on the ground and has added four receptions for 12 yards through the air.

McCoy has been the most effective in Kansas City's backfield up to this point. There's no doubt that he benefits from already having played in Andy Reid's explosive offense before.

At 31 years old, McCoy has showcased that he still has some gas left in the tank. The Chiefs rushing attack hasn't been spectacular, but it would take a decent hit if McCoy was forced to miss any time.

Along with McCoy, Damien Williams also sustained an injury in Week 2 to his knee. Therefore, it will be worth monitoring both running backs' status throughout the week in practice.

In light of that, if McCoy or Williams are inactive against the Ravens, then Darwin Thompson or Darrell Williams may receive more work in the offense. Thompson would likely get the nod due to the team using a sixth-round pick on him in this year's draft.
