Anthony Edwards' thunderous poster dunk over Yuta Watanabe on Friday pretty much left Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes speechless. The one-time NFL MVP was tuning in on the Minessota Timberwolves versus Toronto Raptors match at Target Center and offered a one-word reaction to the game's best highlight.

We're with Patrick Mahomes on this one. There's really not much to say after a sickening poster like that. We're still in the first half of the 2020-21 NBA campaign and looks like we already have a strong entry for the dunk of the year.

Edwards was already known as a high-flyer when the Wolves picked him first overall in last year's draft. But seeing him use that elite athleticism in the big leagues is indeed a sight to behold, as Patrick Mahomes would agree. Props to Yuta Watanabe for trying his best to protect the rim at the time, but the guys on TNT and probably everyone on the internet will roast him for the next 24 hours.

Watanabe and the Raptors did get the better of Edwards and the Wolves, as they emerged victorious in the low-scoring contest, 86-81. Edwards pitched in just seven points, but that dunk alone should be worth more if you ask me. Watanabe, on the other hand, went scoreless and got emphatically posterized in 11 minutes off the bench.

Patrick Mahomes, on the other hand, looks like he's already a big fan of Anthony Edwards. The one-time Super Bowl Champion could probably relate to the Wolves rookie since he was also a former lottery pick in his own sport.
