Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes has big expectations for his newly acquired teammate and running back Le'Veon Bell.

Bell recently signed with the Chiefs after entering free agency following a heart-rending stint with the New York Jets, including a roller coaster-like saga between Bell and Jets head coach Adam Gase, aiding in the releasing of Bell.

Bell's displeasurement with his usage in the Jet's system climaxed following a Week 5 loss to the Cardinals, which resulted to Bell taking to Twitter subliminally to air his frustrations.

It was reported that Bell's final choices were narrowed down to both the Chiefs and the Miami Dolphins, with Bell choosing the former. The Michigan State University product will find much success in a system where he'll effectively be utilized by head coach Andy Reid. He only saw action in two games with the Jets, resulting in a total of 74 rushing yards from 19 carries.

Mahomes shared his excitement in terms of being able to play with Bell while chatting with the “The Drive” during his weekly appearance:

“Yeah, I think it's going to help out a ton,” Mahomes said when asked about the signing. “Obviously, Clyde (Edwards-Helaire) has been playing his tail off and doing a great job, Darrel as well. But adding a guy that's that versatile, that's really had a lot of success in this league and is hungry to come out there and prove the haters wrong… I'm excited for him to have that opportunity and be able to be another great weapon in this offense.”

The halfback was unavailable for action in Week 6 against the Buffalo Bills, a game that the Chiefs were able to survive in without his talents. However, Bell should be able to suit up in Week 7 against the Denver Broncos.
