What do goats talk about with each other? According to the Kansas City Chiefs' quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, he and New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, they spoke about appreciating huge moments, like the AFC Championship game, when you reach these heights early in your career.

Following their matchup in the said game last week, Brady declined to go into details about what the two spoke about after the five-time Super Bowl champion sought out the 23-year-old phenom. However, Mahomes expounded on the conversation with Brady's former teammate, Teddy Bruschi, who asked if it was a meeting of mutual respect or if it was encouragement for whatever may be in store for Mahomes down the road.

“I think it was a little bit of both,” Mahomes said per Kirk Larrabee of 247Sports. “It was such a great game with so many emotions where it was going back and forth at the end. I feel like he just came up to me and was kind saying, ‘Good game,' and everything like that. I mean, he was in my place (earlier in his career). He was young. He got to win the Super Bowl in his first year with you (Bruschi) and everybody, so he understands that time, it flies by, just make sure I put in the work, and I think he saw that I put in the work to be in those situations.”

With the help of his head coach Andy Reid, Mahomes set the NFL on fire this season with 5,097 passing yards and 50 touchdowns in his first season as a starter. He lead the team to a 12-4 record, but they fell to Patriots 37-31 in overtime. Mahomes never got a chance to possess the ball once regulation ended.

The 41-year-old Brady threw for 348 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions in their win, Mahomes threw for 295 yards three touchdowns and no picks.
