The first thing fans will notice when they look at the win the Kansas City Chiefs enjoyed was the lopsided result of their win against the Houston Texans. However, what many wouldn't realize from the final score was the fact that Patrick Mahomes and his teammates were actually behind by a huge margin as well.

The Texans got off to a roaring start, scoring three touchdowns in the first quarter to build an intimidating lead that seemed impossible to contain. When the Texans scored a field goal, it seemed like the game was over.

But it was during this moment that their quarterback rallied the troops and started a 41-0 run that turned the tide their favor indefinitely.

Adam Teicher of ESPN asked Mahomes what was his thought process during that point of the game, and his answer was something that will definitely get a positive reaction from fans.

It was a fantastic display of confidence and leadership from the third-year quarterback. It seemed like he learned from his playoff run last year and kept the team calm during a time where they could have easily given up.

Moreover, he let his passing from the pocket do the talking. He finished the game with an incredible 321 passing yards and five passing touchdowns. He's one of the biggest reasons why the Chiefs managed to come back from the sizeable deficit they were in and grab the W on the way.

The Chiefs will face a tough opponent in the Tennessee Titans in the AFC Championships. However, there are no reasons to believe that Mahomes wouldn't be able to perform and lead his team to victory.
