Patrick Mahomes' offseason just keeps getting better and better. Less than a week after signing his record-breaking contract, Mahomes, along with his Kansas City Chiefs teammate Travis Kelce was recently seen playing golf together.

The two were at the American Century Championship tournament, a celebrity golf competition at the Edgewood Tahoe resort in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.

Ben DuBose of USA Today shared the happenings of the charity event on Twitter:

Despite having a blast, the quarterback needed to take some time to get his groove going in playing golf. He is currently tied at 46th overall with former MLB player Jimmy Rollins in the leaderboards. It is Mahomes' first-time to participate in the three-day event. Meanwhile, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is tied at the 53rd spot with former NFL running back Terrell Davis on the second day of the event.

The American Century Championship also features a total of 71 notable celebrities and athletes. These include NBA player Stephen Curry, actor Jack Wagner, and Mexican boxer Canelo Álvarez. Former NFL players Tony Romo, Jerry Rice, and Carson Palmer were also seen competing in the event.

The tournament is being held for the 31st time. This year's prize money is being donated to the Equal Justice Initiative and organizations supporting COVID-19 relief efforts.

The 24-year old Super Bowl MVP sure is making the most out of his offseason. Entering the 2020 season, the Chiefs will be looking to defend their Super Bowl title against reloaded title contenders.

NFL players will report to their respective training camps starting on July 28.
