Tyrann Mathieu acknowledged that the Kansas City Chiefs got an “ass whooping” against the Baltimore Ravens in their Week 2 showdown; however, he believes the loss will only fuel them moving on to the season.

The Chiefs were ahead by 11 points, 35-24, heading to the fourth quarter of the contest. Nonetheless, the team failed to score during that span and allowed  the Ravens to score 12-0 to complete their come-from-behind victory.

It was a messy game for the Chiefs all in all, but Mathieu thinks the loss will only wake up the sleeping giants in them.

“Every now and again, you need an ass whooping And our team responds best when we get punched in the mouth,” the star Safety said, per Harold R. Kuntz of Fox 4 News.

Patrick Mahomes was sensational in the contest, but he was not perfect and probably made one of the biggest blunders in the game with his first career interception in the month of September.

Tyrann Mathieu, for his part, got two interceptions on Lamar Jackson in another exceptional game. Nonetheless, while he was a key part in stopping the Ravens' passing game, the Chiefs were not able to do much with Baltimore's rushing attack.

Jackson scored two rushing touchdowns while Latavius Murray got one– a key difference to the Chiefs, who just had one courtesy of Darrell Williams.

Then again as Matthie warned, the Chiefs respond best after getting embarrassed. Now, the Los Angeles Chargers might have a big problem in their hands.
