Patrick Mahomes is an elite quarterback. He used the second quarter of the Kansas City Chiefs' blowout game against the Oakland Raiders to remind them why he is considered the heavy favorite to be crowned the MVP this season.

The Chiefs were already ahead of the Raiders by 21-10 at the end of the first half, but the franchise QB felt that the gap is not big enough and decided to make it four touchdowns in a quarter.

Mahomes threw the football from the 49-yard line, and the ball bulleted easily towards Robinson. The safety covering him wasn't able to set his position on time as the former Florida Gator got hold of the ball and tumbled his way to the end zone.

It capped off an incredible performance that saw Mahomes fire off with his receiving corps. Early in the second quarter, Mahomes and Robinson connected for the team's first touchdown of the game.Ā  Moreover, they did it in the first snap of the second quarter.

Mahomes showed off his arm once more when he threw to Mecole Hardman from the 52-yard line. There were two Raiders defenders covering the rookie, but the throwing power of the former Texas Tech star proved to be too much.

The quarter's third TD is another showcase of his ability to make the long pass. He threw the pigskin from around the 35-yard line, and all Travis Kelce had to do to get a receiving TD is catching it.

Mahomes has played unbelievable football, and the game's not even over yet.

Fans can expect more from the man that threw a league-leading 50 TD passes last season as the match heads to the endgame.
