It was quite the scene after Phoenix Suns center Deandre Ayton put in what would be the game-winning alley-oop in the final second of Game 2 against the Los Angeles Clippers. While the Suns were celebrating, the Clippers were confused, bewildered and frustrated at what had just gone down, all as the officials were trying to figure out what the hell was going on themselves.

During all the confusion, Clippers center DeMarcus Cousins was causing a bit of a ruckus. First, Boogie gave Cameron Payne a forearm shiver after it looked like Payne may have been talking some trash:

Devin Booker then came to Payne's aid, and Cousins gave the Suns star a two-handed shove:

Booker backed away not wanting to get into a fight, but then he kept chirping at Clippers point guard Rajon Rondo, who seemed to think that Ayton's basket shouldn't have counted and should have been called goaltending. But as ESPN's Jeff Van Gundy noted, there's no goaltending on an inbounds pass when it's above the cylinder like that, so the basket was good and the Suns came away victorious.

The officials must have totally missed Cousins' tomfoolery, otherwise he probably would have picked up at least one technical foul. We'll see if they go back and retroactively assess Cousins any penalties after seeing the tape. It was quite the madhouse down on the court after Ayton's bucket, so it's at least somewhat understandable if it was missed, though it's kind of hard to miss a giant 7-foot man shoving two different guys.

Whatever happens with Cousins, the Suns now have a 2-0 lead in the Western Conference Finals. The Clippers have already been in this position twice before in these playoffs, but going three-for-three on these comebacks will be quite a tall order.

Game 3 is on Thursday night.
