Kawhi Leonard is well-known for being a very reserved guy, so it comes as no surprise that he wanted his free-agency process kept quiet before ultimately signing with the Los Angeles Clippers.

At his introductory press conference on Wednesday, Leonard explained why he prefers to keep things under wraps:

“A lot of things are made up nowadays,” Leonard said, per Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints. “You can start a websites or a blog and say ‘Kawhi's doing this' or ‘Kawhi's doing that.' It's important for me to have a mutual understanding and be transparent.”

This marks the second time Leonard has changed addresses in the last two offseasons. Last summer, Leonard was traded from the San Antonio Spurs to the Toronto Raptors.

However, with Leonard having just one year remaining on his deal at the time, the general consensus was that the Raptors would be a mere pit stop for Leonard before he bolted for Los Angeles in free agency.

Obviously, that's exactly what happened, as not even winning a championship in Toronto stopped Leonard from heading out to LA.

And Leonard isn't joining the Clippers by himself, either. In addition to signing Leonard, the Clips also swung a blockbuster trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder for Paul George, giving Los Angeles one of the best tandems in basketball.

Not only that, but the Clippers retained Patrick Beverley and JaMychal Green and also have other role players such as Lou Williams, Montrezl Harrell and Landry Shamet.

Los Angeles won 48 games and lost in the first round of the playoffs this past season.
