Los Angeles Clippers superstar Kawhi Leonard was all business when he faced his former squad, the Toronto Raptors, on Monday night.

Asked about whether he thought about his special run with the Raptors last season during the game, Leonard simply brushed it aside and said that he would rather focus on the now with the Clippers:

Clearly, in the heat of a tightly contested game, getting emotional and reminiscent about the past isn't ideal for Leonard. As it has always been, it's strictly business in the present for the two-time NBA champion.

Leonard had arguably his worst game of the season, and ironically, it came against his former squad. The reigning Finals MVP shot just 2-of-11 from the field en route to 12 points, but came close to notching a triple-double with 11 rebounds and nine assists.

Nevertheless, the Clippers were able to fend off the pesky Raptors and escaped with a 10-point victory at home, 98-88. Reserves Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell compensated for Leonard's off night, leading LA with 21 points and 14 points, respectively.

The Clippers are off to a great start in the Kawhi Leonard era. They are currently 7-3 on the season and 6-1 at home. The Raptors, similarly, are 7-3 sans Leonard. It doesn't seem like they are missing their superstar leader from last season too much, with rising star Pascal Siakam striving in his role as the top dog for the Raptors.

Leonard will make his much-awaited return to Toronto on Dec. 11. Perhaps Leonard can take a pause and reflect on his incredible run with the Raptors last year during his video tribute or even during his own personal ring ceremony before tip-off.

One thing's for sure, however, he won't be thinking about that during the game itself.
