Save Skip Bayless a seat on the Kevin Durant to the Los Angeles Clippers bandwagon. On Wednesday's episode of Undisputed, the FOX Sports personality made the case for why believes Durant should sign in free agency with the team he and the Golden State Warriors eliminated from the first round of the playoffs.

“The smartest choice he could make, to me, would be Clippers, because I trust the braintrust the most of the Clippers,” Bayless said of Durant. “I believe in Jerry West, I believe in Steve Ballmer's depth of pockets because he's gonna spare no expense, and I believe in Doc Rivers. I've always loved Doc, and I just believe in the stability he can bring around Kevin. And we saw what they're starting to build there, because that team has basketball character in depth.”

Everyone involved in that hard-fought six-game series between the juggernaut Warriors and underdog Clippers spoke glowingly about their opponents after it was finished. But Los Angeles saved its most glowing praise for Durant individually, with Patrick Beverley and Lou Williams memorably showering him with praise on the postgame podium, a development of which basketball's most social-media conscious superstar surely noticed.

Additionally, Marc Stein of The New York Times reported earlier this week that Los Angeles has emerged as an “equally dangerous threat” as the New York Knicks to sign Durant away from the .Warriors

For now, let the speculation and debate continue. What's undoubtedly far more pressing in Durant's mind, though? Getting healthy enough to play in time for Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
