Clorinde is a 5-star Electro character who first appeared in Genshin Impact during version 4.0. The Champion Duelist debuts alongside Version 4.7. In this Genshin Impact Guide, we will be talking about Clorinde, her abilities, weapon, and artifact build, as well as her ideal team compositions.

Genshin Impact Guide – Clorinde Weapon and Artifact Build

Clorinde will be available during the first phase of Version 4.7. She will be available until June 25, 2024 alongside Alhaitham.

Clorinde Abilities Overview

We already have an article detailing Clorinde's abilities, however, for this guide, we will go through them quickly.

Clorinde's Normal Attack allows her to attack up to five times. Her Charged Attack will consume a fixed amount of stamina to fire Suppressing Shots in a fan pattern with her pistolet. Her Plunging Attack has her strike the ground below her, dealing AoE Physical DMG on impact.

Her Elemental Skill, Hunter's Vigil, makes Clorinde enter the “Night Vigil” state, changing her Normal Attack to “Swift Hunt” pistolet attacks, and her Elemental Skill to “Impale The Night”. Clorinde's DMG is converted to Electro DMG while in the “Night Vigil” State.

When Clorinde uses Swift Hunt, she fires her Pistolet, dealing Electro DMG to her target and giving her a Bond of Life. This can pierce enemies. Using Impale The Night, on the other hand, will have Clorinde perform a lunging attack, dealing AoE DMG and healing Clorinde based on her Bond of Life value.

The higher the Bond of Life that Clorinde has, the more damage and healing she performs. Performing Impale the Night when Bond of Life value is 100% of her max HP  instead casts Impale the Night: Pact, an even stronger version of Impale the Night.

Her Elemental burst, Last Nightfall, grants CLorinde Bond of Life based on her max HP, while dealing AoE Electro DMG to enemies around her.

When leveling her Talents, level her Skill first, as it increases the DMG Swift Hunt and Impale the Night deals. Then, level her Burst to increase its DMG, as well as the Bond of Life gain from it. Finally, level her Normal Attack, as you will usually only use Clorinde while her Skill is up.

Clorinde Weapon Guide

The values listed below are at R5.

Absolution: CRIT DMG increased by 40%. Increasing the value of a Bond of Life increases the DMG the equipping character deals by 32% for 6s. Max 3 stacks.

Absolution is Clorinde's best Weapon, as it works really well with her Elemental Skil. Since Clorinde will constantly be increasing and refreshing her Bond of Life, it is very easy to hit maximum stats with this Sword, giving her up to 96% additional DMG.

The Sword also gives Clorinde up to 40% Crit DMG, up to 84.1% at Lvl 90. This makes it easier for players to get a good Crit Rate/DMG with Clorinde.

Haran Geppaku Futsu: Obtain 24% All Elemental DMG Bonus. When other nearby party members use Elemental Skills, the character equipping this weapon will gain 1 Wavespike stack. Max 2 stacks. This effect can be triggered once every 0.3s. When the character equipping this weapon uses an Elemental Skill, all stacks of Wavespike will be consumed to gain Rippling Upheaval: each stack of Wavespike consumed will increase Normal Attack DMG by 40% for 8s.

This is another decent 5-star Sword for Clorinde, as it buffs her Elemental DMG, as well as increase her Normal Attack DMG. This works for CLorinde as Swift Hunt is considered Normal Attack DMG, hence it will be buffed once Clorinde enters the field with this weapon.

This does have its disadvantages. The first is that this is a 5-star Sword only available when Ayato is on the banner. The other is that the player does have to adhere by a strict rotation to maximize the DMG Bonus she receives.

Mistplitter Reforged: Gain a 24% Elemental DMG Bonus for all elements and receive the might of the Mistsplitter's Emblem. At stack levels 1/2/3, the Mistsplitter's Emblem provides a 16/32/56% Elemental DMG Bonus for the character's Elemental Type. The character will obtain 1 stack of the Mistsplitter's Emblem in each of the following scenarios: Normal Attack deals Elemental DMG (stack lasts 5s), casting Elemental Burst (stack lasts 10s); Energy is less than 100% (stack disappears when Energy is full). Each stack's duration is calculated independently.

This is another decent all-around weapon for Clorinde as it buffs her Elemental DMG by quite a lot, up to 80% at max stacks. Not only that, but it also gives Clorinde a sizable amount of Crit DMG.

The Weapon's downside, however, is similar to the Haran Geppaku Futsu in that it is a 5-Star sword that's only available when Ayaka is on the banner. Another downside is that to maximize the bonus, the player must start a fight with full Energy, which will not always be the case.

Finale of the Deep: When using an Elemental Skill, ATK will be increased by 24% for 15s, and a Bond of Life worth 25% of Max HP will be granted. This effect can be triggered once every 10s. When the Bond of Life is cleared, a maximum of 300 ATK will be gained based on 4.8% of the total amount of the Life Bond cleared, lasting for 15s.

This is perhaps the best F2P weapon for Clorinde, as it provides an ATK bonus when Clorinde uses her Elemental Skill, as well as when she clears her Bond of Life. As Clorinde can easily stack and clear Bonds of Life, she basically has a 100% uptime for the damage bonuses.

Iron Sting: Dealing Elemental DMG increases all DMG by 12% for 6s. Max 2 stacks. Can occur once every 1s.

Although a meme thanks to her being depicted as using this in earlier patches, Iron Sting is a surprisingly decent weapon for Clorinde. However, to fully maximize it, players must use her in an Elemental Reaction team, as Iron Sting gives Elemental Mastery.

Clorinde Artifact Guide

4-piece Fragment of Harmonic Whimsy

  • ATK +18%.
  • When the value of a Bond of Life increases or decreases, this character deals 18% increased DMG for 6s. Max 3 stacks.

This is perhaps the best Artifact set for Clorinde thanks to its reliance on Bond of Life. Since Clorinde's empowered attacks will always increase her Bond of Life, it will be easy for her to get the 54% increased DMG at max stats.

4-piece Thundering Fury

  •  Electro DMG Bonus +15%
  •  Increases DMG caused by Overloaded, Electro-Charged, Superconduct, and Hyperbloom by 40%, and the DMG Bonus conferred by Aggravate is increased by 20%. When Quicken or the aforementioned Elemental Reactions are triggered, Elemental Skill CD is decreased by 1s. Can only occur once every 0.8s.

This is a good alternative Artifact set for Clorinde, as it empowers her damage in Elemental Reaction teams. It will also increase the uptime of her skill thanks to the 1s decrease in Elemental Skill CD whenever she performs any of the Elemental Reactions tied to the Artifact set.

4-piece Gladiator's Finale

  • ATK +18%
  •  If the wielder of this artifact set uses a Sword, Claymore or Polearm, increases their Normal Attack DMG by 35%.

This is a more straightforward Artifact set for Clorinde as it boosts her DMG in two ways. The first is via the 18% ATK increase, which increases her overall DMG. The other is via the Normal Attack DMG increase, which will increase the DMG her Swift Hunt deals.

Artifact Main Stats

As for Artifact Main Stats, get ATK% for the Sands, Electro DMG Bonus for the Goblet, and CRIT Rate or DMG for the Crown, depending on what Sword you are using. For substats, focus on CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG (based on what you need),  Energy Recharge, and more ATK.

Clorinde Team Guide

Thanks to Clorinde's Passive Skill which increases her DMG whenever Electro-related reactions happen, Clorinde excels as the Main DPS of Electro-Reaction based teams. As such, here are some sample teams that players can run with Clorinde:

Aggravate Team: Clorinde, Kirara, Fischl, Sucrose

As mentioned above, Clorinde will be the main DPS in this team, in charge of applying Electro on enemies. Kirara can provide the shields and the off-field Dendro application with her Burst, while Fischle serves as another off-field Electro applier. Sucrose is here to group enemies together, making it easier for Clorinde to take them down.

Of course, this team is flexible. Bringing Nahida or the Dendro Traveler instead of Kirara would work, as would bringing Yae Miko or C6 Kujou Sara. Kazuha can also fulfill the role of crowd control, as well as provide Swirl on top of the Aggravate.

Hybrid Team: Clorinde, Fischl, Kirara, Xingqiu

This is another good team for Clorinde, focusing instead on a combination of elemental reactions. The rotation involves Kirara applying Dendro, Xingqiu making Blooms with them, and Clorinde jumping in to cause Hyperbloom.

In between Bloom creation, Clorinde, Kirara, and Fischl can instead activate Aggravate Reactions, filling in the gap between Bloom creation with damage.

Instead of Xingqiu, players can choose to bring Furina and Yelan. In the same way, players can bring Nahida instead of Kirara for Dendro applications.

Overload Team: Clorinde, Fischl, Chevreuse, Thoma

This is perhaps the most accessible accessible team for Clorinde as it involves 4-star characters. This team relies a lot on the buffs and healing that Chevreuse provides whenever Overload is triggered, so properly utilizing her and Clorinde is key for this team to work.

Fischl will provide the off-field Electro DMG, while Thoma will provide healing as well as off-field Pyro damage. As long as the player can constantly deal Overload DMG, they will be able to use this team well.

Of course, there are other teams that the player can ruin with Clorinde in Genshin Impact. These teams just serve as a guideline for players who need a place to start.

That's all for our guide on Clorinde's best weapon and artifact builds in Genshin Impact. Clorinde will be available with the arrival of the first half of Genshin Impact Version 4.7. Once this rate-up ends, players will have to wait until another rate-up to get her.
