Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck has been sitting out of training camp with what we all thought was the result of a calf issue, but apparently, there is more to it than that.

Colts owner Jim Irsay revealed on SiriusXM NFL Radio that Luck is dealing with an injury to a “small little bone,” which is obviously not the same thing as his calf.

Irsay did not specify what part of Luck's body the bone injury was taking place, and it is also not clear if this was the main injury all along or if this is issue is in addition to his calf injury.

Regardless, this is obviously not great news, and the fact that Indianapolis is being so coy about Luck's health situation could lead one to believe that the injury is more serious than the Colts were originally letting on.

Luck doesn't seem likely to play at all in the preseason, and his status for Week 1 of the regular season is very much up in the air.

Remember: two years ago, Luck was recovering from offseason shoulder surgery and was initially expected to return at some point early in the regular season, but he had multiple setbacks and ended up missing the entire 2017 campaign.

That's not to say that's what will happen here, but it certainly seems like some deja vu for Colts fans.

Indianapolis is expected by many to be a Super Bowl contender heading into this year, but if Luck is compromised in any way, those hopes obviously go by the wayside.
